The prepaid principle
Top up first, then order services. Without sufficient balance, no further paid services can be charged to the account.

The customer account only uses available balance and has no overdraft facility.

Top-ups and important account activity can be reviewed in the customer area.

Review the balance and upcoming renewals together regularly.

Guidance for younger users
Discuss which products may be used and what budget is available. Depending on age and the scope of an order, parental consent may be required. Login details, support PINs and security codes must never be shared with others.
What happens when the balance is empty?
Without sufficient balance, paid orders or renewals cannot be charged. Depending on the service, this may lead to restrictions or termination. Important data should therefore be backed up regularly.
